Different Linux user here. Gimp is fine depending on your workflow. Going through Ctrl+Paint tutorials there wasn't much I couldn't do because I was using Gimp. Mypaint has a great brush engine and is just fine for drawing/paint too. I hear Krita is coming along, but Mypaint and Gimp serve me well enough and the last time I tried it, it was shit.

Most of the time I just boot up Windows for CSP, though. It's almost the only Windows application I use.
