well, I finally have a scanner, already did the LA Graphic Scan.
These books are not easy to scan, very tight binding, makes them almost useless as a physical reference book because you just cant keep the book open and the pages flat without completely destroying the book.

Hello dear /ic/ - I hope you find yourselves having a good day.

You may remember in a previous art book thread a few anons discussing the elusive Famous Artists Advanced Program and the difficulties of obtaining it. It would appear that nobody has, as of yet, uploaded it anywhere.

StuartNg.com has the 12 complete volumes and they are asking $5,000 for it. Ebay is not much better- asking $1,900 for just one of the volumes.

To my luck, I have recently acquired all 12 complete volumes (including the empty Albert Dorne binder that StuartNg also has). It arrived in a condition as if no-one touched it in many decades, dusty and moldy. But the good news is that it seems almost all of the pages, including the plates, transparencies and fold-outs are there.

One of the assignments is missing, and two/three of the cover pages are also not missing.

It's time to upload these long lost binders, one by one, to CGPeers and elsewhere so that artists can have unrestricted access to them.

This is something else. The "regular" courses are 3-4 binders. You can find them online and on ebay for less than $40.

These are the 12 volumes of the Advanced Program, and Albert Dorne had the copies incinerated when the school closed down (according to StuartNg's website.)

I have his drapery video if you don't have that. He has a 16 DVD set of a bunch of things and drapery is one of them.

Also, Greuze the Draftsman and Frederick de Wit's 17th Lumen Pictueae arrived. Wit's book is similar to Bargue but places more emphasis on construction and seems to have a better emphasis on several people in one composition. A3 size book, lots of study plates with constructions and renderings.
