How do I know how crowded the windows in the red oval should be? Since I'm looking down, I know the windows should look more crowded as you go down, but is there some method to determine how crowded they should be? Currently I just went by rough conjectures.

google some actual apartment buildings so your drawing doesnt look like a box with rectangles pasted on it

1. Draw a rectangle
2. make an x in it to find its center.
3.use the x to find the now apparent midpoints of the rectangle, then bisect the rectangle with them.(the middle of this thing is further down than you would think at first. The midpoint of the line in virtual reality is not equal to the midpoint of the line on the picture plane. The cross-center, however, always is identical, so it helps here.)
4. Repeat. Note: this works for all rectangles.
This is not reccomended to do if you are a shitter who sucks at straight lines, like me. just a ruler/line tool, since you're planning something like windows, yeah just use line tool, looks like you already did.
One problem I see here is that you said you're looking down, but you actually aren't. Two-point perspective doesn't handle vertical foreshortening properly, and so if you were to use 2-point like you are now, the windows would not get any more crowded at all! However, 3-point would just be a hassle, so maybe either do autistic exercises for years until you can freehand it or just build it in google sketchup
