I can't conceive how someone can be so polarized in artistic skills so that he can do perfect hands, but will fuck up something as simple as a cartoon kangaroo. How does that even happen, did he only exclusively draw things from reference so he can teach people how he did it or something?

He was drawing something from imagination that he had never studied before. Not only that but he had never studied animal anatomy before either so he has no clue how to create something like a kangaroo from imagination. Then add on his inability and inexperience with stylization and you get the golden meme.

If he was trying to draw a figure from imagination then he'd be fine. Or near the end of his stream he was drawing a weird face and even tho it didn't look that good you could tell that he knew what he was doing since he was comfortable with drawing faces. Proko isn't shit at all, he just made the mistake of trying to draw something completely new to him live in front of his viewers.
