i love black shadows, one of my favorite things in graphic art.

I'm hoping some cooldog will come and introduce me to artists with a similar style. the only major ones i can think of are Mike Mignola, Takeshi Koike (OP), and Shigenori Soejima (pic related).

i saw a lot of hard shading on some of arts (american comic or dark themed japanese manga or hentai) it's really heavy and makes your art look badass

It's one of the things that I want to acheive

It really depends on the art.

With something detailed and well proportioned like >>2869196
it looks good. But with something "stylized" and deformed like >>2873912 it just makes the finished product worse.
