He's probably talking about copyright/intellectual property laws and it becomes a problem when you try to sell it.

A lot of artists are a little hypocritical about when they get butthurt about copyright though. You'll have people who draw fanart of say, Princess Peach, and sell it. But then they'll get fucking furious when they see some other person put their drawing on a mug and sell that mug.

I usually defend artists like Sakimichan when people talk shit about successful fanartists, so it's definitely not the amount of money Kron makes that makes me be critical of him. I'm all for drawing fanart and making money off of it. However unlike most other fanartists who take an existing character and create an image that didn't exist before, all Kron does is copy stuff that already exists. Be it photos, anime or video game screenshots, other artist's work, whatever.

You keep posting that Norman Rockwell image in every single thread about Kron trying to defend him and you still don't understand the huge difference between the two. Rockwell had an IDEA. He created something that did not exist before. His tool for doing that was to pose 2 models in a scene and take a photo. What Kron does is take someone elses ideas. I'm not saying he can't do it, that's for copyright lawyers to decide, but if you as an artist can defend this sort of shit, then you can't at the same time pretrend Kron is somehow less of a hack than Irakli. They are one and the same, Kron is just better and more successful at being a hack.

The guy goes to one of the best art schools on the globe and his contribution to this oh-so-"creative" field is to take existing pictures and references, turn eyes, noses and lips into anime, and add chromatic aberration with pastel colors.
