You want to know why there are so many weebs, furries, and bronies who are at the top of everything in life?

Because they are autistic, and actually have the stamina to put in mentally-ill amounts of hours in their passion. Not to say there aren't any horrible artists of that kind, but just my personal belief to explain the phenomenon

You all need to actually look at the details of the artists backgrounds and why they got to where they are today. Darkgem almost exclusively draws gay furry anus muscle so there's no surprise that he knows anatomy and how to draw the figure. I guarantee you he can't do backgrounds or perspective drawings with ease because in almost all of his paintings, there is no background or a very low detailed background with no thought of perspective put into it. Also look at where he lives...The United Kingdom, where you're on the doll for doing absolutely nothing except "looking" for work and there's really nothing else to do but watch it rain. So with all the time in the world to go to school, get married have kids, get a respectable job and perhaps move up in a company, he instead chose it to draw scaly fag boys and dedicate his life to tweeting like minded fellows about it.
Also look at who he caters to, people who will pay hundreds of dollars for a balloony, hyper-dick-muscle-gryphon-lizard. If I were a professional artist and took all my skill to a market of gullible people, does that mean I'm working hard? Do you think he would sell as much if he didn't draw fetish garbage? Do you think he has the capacity and capability of surviving in a non degenerate professional environment?

It's good I guess, I like the pose and expressiveness even though it's too violent and not erotic at all. What kills it for me is legs though, I wonder why haven't anyone commented on them.

I mean, is something wrong with me that I think everything from waist-down is fucked? It looks very disjointed, also I'd think the light would behave differently on them. Personal interests arent relevant and don't dictate skill.
Darkgem studies quite a bit and probably does a decent amount of nonfurry art. He draws what he likes and takes art seriously.

The funny thing is that I browsed Ironmarch a while ago and recognized the furry and brony artists on there, mainly because they posted their fanart on their outlet. A lot of the "non-degenerate" white nationalists and the right-wing types have skeletons in their closet.

Honestly even the fresh to art furry artists can make good money within a year if they practice daily.

Furry is mostly made up of people in tech, medical, and law enforcement/military backgrounds. These people are willing to toss good chunks of their paychecks toward artists to draw their horse dicked GSD murrsona getting blown by some arctic fox milf.
