Materials are just micron pens and grey tone brush markers. 98lb mixed media paper if that means anything.

Does it have to be traditional? I don't own any good inking stuff all I have are shitty biros. Digital is much more convenient.

well in LAS you only have to draw for 30 minutes a day, I think to do something worthwhile in ink it takes longer, but that's just my experience. Plus they're mostly digital

Dracula's outfit is the one he wears in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, however his face and his pose are not from a reference. I drew a sketch of what I wanted and drew the clothes on top of that.

Old Man Logan is obviously referenced from the trailer that just came out. I think my line work really shines when I put in a ton of detail. That black cat I posted was weaksauce, same with the ghost. But Dracula, Old Man Logan, the Jack o' Lantern, Mothman, and the Chinese Dragon are my favorites.

Thanks for the compliments! Inktober has been kicking my ass to be honest. It's nice to hear some positive feedback like yours!

I might as well post what I did a few days ago. Going to continue this as a very short graphic novel series until the end of the month. Was supposed to be a draft but I decided against it and continued. First thing in months I worked on something for more than 20 minutes.

Unfortunately, school and some very odd symptoms are making me less motivated to be serious. I really don't care if I don't get all the days in- as long as I just commemorate it in some way.

But yeah, your line work/style is very distinct. I've not come across something like this in forever but then again, I've been out of the art game off and on for a few years now and same with /ic/- but regardless- it's a breath of fresh air to me.

Damn anon, I don't know what to say. I was actually out of art for a long time too. I used to draw every day, but that stopped for about a year. I tried drawing a character from Pokemon Sun and Moon and every board I posted it on tore me a new asshole. I knew it was time to get back into drawing and practice again. Relearn what I had forgotten. To hear that I've actually inspired someone else is the biggest compliment I can imagine. Thank you.

Also, it's funny that you post that drawing. I've got a haunted mansion lined up for Day 26!

Well anon, maybe you'll be happy to hear that I also hate my work for all the reasons you've described. I don't have many good original ideas, and I am a little too nervous to draw anything really ambitious because I don't think I'm skilled enough to pull it off yet.

As for the angled pencil shots, I hate that shit too, but it's a popular gimmick that I can hide behind when I botch perspective, proportions, draw a head too small, or whatever. All the drawings that are like that are the ones that I am least confident in, and might not have posted otherwise. I have no delusions about being "artsy".

I suppose the argument then is that I should be practicing fundamentals instead of doing drawing challenges, but I wanted to have a little fun for once, while still building some positive work habits.
