but being a freelance artist can be very lucrative of course there has to be appeal to you and your style, there's a lot of artist that are very good but make a decent level of money because of no appeal or underselling themselves, and there's a few shitters that make more than they should probably for the quality they put out. It's all relative.

I'd encourage someone to do it why wouldn't you want to be your own boss and call your own work hours? in the end everyone works whatever job because it pays well enough or else they'd do something else.

If you want to go into it you have to prepare yourself for a lot I would think especially if you do furry because some of the commissioners and their request can get really weird.

One time I charged a guy 40 bucks for a simple thing he hadn't mentioned because I was in a bad mood, then months later saw him bringing it up to dissuade people from commissioning me. The core shadow thing on her arm is really distracting, I think you should try to stick with the flat cel shaded rendering. That in combination with the lines of the ridge muscles of her forearm makes the whole arm look like a gnarly baguette. The other arm in all it's simplicity is so much more attractive. I'm sure you've heard it before, but classic advice from pinup artists says to have as little lines on the inside as possible on the female figure. The position of her head looks off to me aswell - too far back, as if it isn't connected to the spine. She has that high fashion body type so I'd elongate her neck a touch to make it more elegant. It would also reinforce the gestural line of her back
