I live in central america, i only only have elementary education.
I don't have skill on any field
But i always liked to witness art.
What do i need to be a profesional concept artist?
Is it profitable?

Listen to Feng Zhu's Design Cinema podcast. He's shit on here for various reasons but he's right. Concept art is such a deluded industry where anyone thinks they can get in, when in reality you need to sacrifice a lot (literally and metaphorically) to even have a chance to make it.

Don't worry, a lot of people like his art in here (I usually see a lot of dumps of his art, specifically his sketchbook), they just like to make fun of his high horse.

So, tge most of the artists don't live from art?

>> No.2651074

Your best bet to live off art is through commissions or creating content people would pay to see more of which is doable depending on the country you live in

In my case I could sell a shitty drawing and earn half the minimum wage of my country. The problem is that I'm still not good enough to profit from art.

How do you start a business through commissions? You use paypal or something? Do you need to form a contract? How do you deal with customers?

I would also like to know, senpai

So far I've been hitting the canvas and practicing as much as I can to reach a level where I can feel comfortable breaking into the market

Just do this
"Process:
(needs 1-3 weeks)
1. Confirm work contents and price
2. Rough sketch will be drawn for initial approval.
3. Once the rough sketch has been

approved and given a go, full payment must be made to proceed.
4. Artwork will be sent to the commissioner via E-mail/note in TIF format once completed.

All payments are recived via PayPal"
