I read "Fisheye Placebo" from the artist Yummei, and she uses Photobash and 3d, the comic is awesome also the color is great.

it's alright. has potential but he really really really needs to make his own backgrounds, it's painfully obvious that they're just photos.

he needs to break free from his portrait-with-text panels, and actually show mid-speaking, etc.

it's a start, but his first comic should NOT be behind a paywall, and he definitely needs an assistant or co-writer to keep him in check

His paneling/pacing is so awful. He needs to hire a writer asap or get better at it. It looks more like a movie scenario (?) than a comic. Also premise is generic as hell and uninteresting.

Why would that surprise you? With the exception of animation, comics/manga are probably the most difficult and complex artistic profession to get good at. Obviously illustrators or concept artists or whatever won't be able to do a good comic on their first try.

To be fair, that is a very common technique used in most manga to save time.

One of the most important aspects of a comic is that the first few pages entice the reader to keep on reading, yet this is just a pile of clichés that keeps on dragging. If you spend the first 10 pages alone to outline the entirely generic and uninteresting life of your main character, you're doing it wrong. And then he uses another 13 to do the same with a second, only to conclude with another cliché for a cliffhanger.
