That's a really good reason to stop copying photos.
You can use a photo as reference, but don't copy it, it comes out so much better if you take the forms from it and apply a good perspective to them.

Are you male or female?
It looks like you used black for shading. The shadows are really ugly and the colors are the same throughout the face. Add some variation to that. Also, such strictly centered front view portraits only work well under certain creative circumstances which you didn't meet. You did a simple study.

It's not terrible, probably one of the best ones here, but it's not great either, just keep at it.

Start looking at shapes and forms, not what you think you're looking at, anon. Everything looks smudgy because you're not defining a solid light source, and the already badly constructed face looks even wider because there's no breathing space. Give me two hours or so, I can point our a couple of more things once I'm done with class. Keep trying!

Meantime i've fixed some things, mostly light and dark contrasts but I guess I'll wait a bit. I use a mirror thats pretty close to me btw.

my feels. I used basic Loomis loosely for the basic proportions, but I drew everything at an angle, not straight forward, so it looks better when you tilt the top backwards.

the human face has a lot of complex forms fitting into one another. You need to learn how to draw basic forms before you start doing more complex things
