I’ve been putting it off, but I think I really need pointers. How can I improve this drawing I made?

Anatomy...

Build your character, don't just do the face, then a Pokemon head, then digimon hair, and then do the neck shoulders and other stuff. Start off with shaping the character in blocks, cylinders, and cones. Line dimensions, and then map the details.

Sure, it's a bit longer than what you're doing, but the payout is worth it, and you'll get better through practicing.

Honestly, posting in the beginner thread would get him less replies. He and everyone else is better off making individual threads regardless of whether or not you like it.

I’ve been reading through all the replies, and the all the help I get is great. I’ll keep anatomy in mind, but I really don’t really want to focus on that. Some of you say that I should have posted in the beginner thread, but I don’t really think I need to. It’s not because I wouldn’t get any help if I did post it there, but I think I’m not a “beginner”. I’ve been drawing simple comics for a year now and only sometimes I do try to dabble a little with proper humans. I would post a example of one of my little comics, but I’m on my phone atm (When I get back to my desk I’ll post one). Again, thanks for the advice guys.

you're a beginner. even if you don't plan on doing 'proper humans', you should learn how to draw them anyway. it's like wanting to make a cool model of a tank without knowing at all how tanks look or work.
