Tools shown is unnecessary, most of us can tell. It also gives off a sort of "look at me I am an artist and here are my artist tools" vibe, especially when said tools are "legitimate art pens/pencils/copics/whatever." (Not that copics are bad or anything)
Taking your picture at an angle, especially a really low one, is stupid and ridiculous as it makes it more about how you post your art than what you actually drew.
You should already know that filters are pretentious shit. The only acceptable filter is black and white if your room was only fluorescently lit or some other horrific tinge.

Not that anon, but usually I'm just too lazy to clean up my tools, but I never leave them on the paper I just kinda brush them to the edge.

I also try to post process the image a bit with WB, contrast, blacks, and recovery, but I don't crop because then the uneven room lighting looks like I put a filter on instead of it being a photo.

Also, if I post it, and the photo is rotated, I immediately delete the post, rotate the image on my phone to remove the image rotation meta data, then repost it properly. The entire time I am freaking out because I'm afraid some anon will lose his shit over the rotation...

pretty good, but it doesn't feel very harmonious. Keep in mind the light source can be suggested with line weight. I can't really tell where the light might be with this. The main issues I see are
-the head being too far stage left

-whatever is going with her thumb on her right hand

I noticed the brow belatedly but thankfully that's an easy fix.
I know the leg is fucked up, but I think the issue with both legs is at least partly due to the fact that the hands are an exaggerated size but the feet aren't, so I'm going to try to amend that.

I'm not sure I see what you mean with the positioning of the head and thumb, maybe you can be more specific? Both look okay to me, although I could be missing something obvious.

The main issues I'm seeing are no use of gesture and some small anatomical errors that are clashing with whatever style you're trying to go for here. For example, that brow ridge is really sticking out. In most "chibi' drawings artists selectively ignore that part of the skull.

I really enjoy the rendering on the metals, but the skin is too reddish, the hair is oddly shapes, and weirdly lit. Your rendering of the skin could use some work aswell, all the edges are too soft, and you've included outlines (like that elbow) which look just cartoony.
There are a few anatomy issues, especially in the face and hands. Her nose shouldn't be uptilted like that if the head is slightly titled downward, and the mouth just looks bizarre; also the cheeks/orbital ridge look really weird o the right side of her face. And her head is weirdly placed for where her neck is, like shes squishing her jaw into her neck. The arms are weirdly placed, they feel stiff (the weight isn't reading well). Her right arm isn't properly foreshortened so her bicep looks weirdly squashed. God damn those elbows bother me a lot, just use reference for those, there's a structure like the back of the knee where u can see creases and the fat deposits around the elbow. Her right hand doesn't look like its grabbing anything, so that sort of crab-like hand pose looks weird; I think it'd be better if her middle and ring finger were flat instead. Her left hand just, that doesn't look like a hand. Use a reference pls. The thighs look pretty good, her crotch is hanging too far down. Since the hips are tilted away, the protrusion of the lips is hidden and it's foreshortened a bit. Her right knee is way too far tilted for how straight the thigh is, either tilt the thigh (where you would show less of the fatty inner part, and less of that tendon) or tilt the knee. Her right calf is also way too far 'pinched', it has a curvature to it, but you've way overexaggerated that. Her right foot seems distorted, if the heel is showing like you have it, that top of the foot would not be that large or flat. I'd suggest tilting the top, and showing more of side of the foot. Her left knee is fine, but the calf to the ankle is twisted too much, I think it's the red things on the bottom of the knee

Thanks; I tried to address what both of you pointed out.

To the second person, could you expand on what you meant by "no use of gesture"? I know the pose isn't the greatest if that's what you're getting at.

To the first person, I'm still not totally sure I get what you meant about the position of the head.

I tried to adjust the crease line on the thumb to look a bit more natural.
Made the brow shallower so hopefully that looks better.
And I particularly made the feet larger, since I felt that the slightly more proportional feet didn't look right with the exaggerated hands. I think it helps the style come through better.
I also adjusted the mouth because I was going for a closed-mouth bottom-lip-biting expression, but I still don't think it reads as well as I'd like.

I'm probably not going to try and mess with this piece anymore, but more comments and critique for the sake of improvement are very welcome. I haven't really posted on /ic/ before and this is honestly better feedback than I expected.

the response seems asshole-tier but they're pretty correct with that one. it's hard to critique anatomy and details when your image offers none. Unless you're going for a specific style-- and I'm going to guess your technique is due to skill rather than style-- then work on refining the details in this picture. I want to say you have a good idea going, but it's a sketch at best.

However, I'm gonna see if I can analyze what's going on-- she's hopping forward, or falling down? Either way, unless she's moving upward somehow, like in the middle of a wave dash [see: any fighting game, especially Smash Bros], the tips of her hair would not be pointing downward. Her open dress suggests air moving under her as if she's landing... but again, tips of the hair. It's artistic and fancy and maybe it can be ignored for some anime weeaboo trash but I'm gonna ask you to aspire to more, and get the direction of her movement, and the result of it, correct. As it stands there's too much, and yet too little, information about what she's doing.

I didn't have the patience to look through screencaps. I used Nano's character sheet for the design reference, and a female anatomy pic. The drawing was constructed rather lazily. The characters are all in different perspectives... However, if you were to ask that same question for any of my other drawings, I would have to "find" the horizon line. One of the mistakes I've made is learning anatomy first. I think it is more appropriate to learn in this order- perspective>composition>figure. I have yet to master the first step, in this case.

I'm not sure what you meant about the symmetry on the limbs. are you referring to the planes, or the bones?

Mouth and nose are too big for that style, so it looks like a giant head on a little body more than a chibi-ish head. Also too much hair showing on the left side of the picture. The way (his?) head is tilted and how it's behind the ears on the other side, you wouldn't see it like that.

okay, here. it's 4 am here and i'm really not assing about this as much as you'd like to, but you see the thing is.. it's a pose of a very simplistic and stylistic cartoon (in sense of anatomy) and what you're trying to do is use it as a reference to build a anatomically more complex model of a body. that is useless, because the simplified cartoon will have a fundamentally completely different proportions and anatomy in general. so what i can advise to you, get a real reference image (studying real limbs and real muscles help you a lot from imagining your own shit and making up all kinds of stuff that do not exist).

next on (get on the study train woop woop). seriously. just because you draw a cute lil ribcage box like you saw the cool guys on this board do does not matter you have any idea why it is there. you have to imagine the shape in 3 D (oh my god three dimensions that's confusing!). don't stress lines like such on the left side of the torso, and don't start making hairy lines like the left arm. work with shapes. try to imagine them, draw out MANY sketches, so you see what works compared to the reference. now also. i can bet my left testicle (i actually had surgery for it, motherfucking varicocele is what they call it, fucking veins n shit) that you spent 90% of the time drawing that lil anime face of yours. that is what you want to refrain from doing if you're serious about learning how to draw legs correctly, because THERE ARE NONE IN YOUR PICTURE, sorry, i tried to make it obvious.

get a reference, god damn it. there are tons in the internet. go on /a/, /c/, /s/ whatever, just start over.
