I have to be honest, Tek's work scares me.

I mean, let's closely examine this 'Whore Island' piece. We have a central figure apparently made out of spare bicycle parts staring with dull red eyes into the middle distance while choking a woman to death with his bare hand, seemingly completely oblivious to his surroundings or actions.

We then have some kind of sharp-toothed teddy bear creature branded with Tek's name apparently laughing over the nearly-dead body of another, identical, Asian-looking woman. In the background we observe another one of these 'Tek' creatures staring lasciviously at the choking woman's vagina.


In the background, a curiously small-scale city that looks much like his native Leicester. In the foreground we are reassured that 'god walks amongst us' on 'whore island'.

I'm not saying that Tek is in fact a deranged serial murderer who targets only women... Wait, no, that's exactly what I'm saying. It only gets worse when you realise almost every woman in his paintings has the same features, pallid dead-looking skin and glassy colourless eyes.
