I guess technically it's a clever gag, but jokes about Mario are so overdone that I can't find them funny. Same thing with Star Wars parodies, it just makes me feel numb inside.

Low/beginner-tier inking. Line weights are all over the place. Looks like it was done with a dip pen, and he overloaded the nib with ink in several spots, scratched the paper and got the pen stuck in others. It would explain the jagged lopsided line quality and disproportianate line variation. 2/10.

The interesting thing with Dobson is that he has basically told every community he have been a part of till the current date to go and fuck itself.
He did so with the Inflation one, the MLP one, the Deviantart one and sort-of the Batman one ((He compared the current Batman to Hitler and said something about fans of TDKR being Jerks))
The man have burnt literally every bridge apart from the SJW one by now, and it is none's fault but his own.

faces they just look old or ugly instead of detailed.

Uh...no. He is. Not only is he completely unable to capture any sort of resemblance, there's a lot of issues with proportions and feature placement. These are fugly drawings.
