I'm honestly not too crazy about the skin shading, the area just below her collarbone looks a bit flat, making her boob look like a balloon that's popping out of her chest, also her face is devoid of any kind of strong highlight and her hairline is too high up.

Im curious if you fucked up the chair on purpose or was it a mistake? Either way I tried to fix it. That hand is way too big, and I tried to make her look more planted on the chair not sure if that worked. Also her head position was bothering me personally but yours pretty ok. Now that I've puah puah taimu'd, I'd like to say that the legs are too long. Look at those petite shoulders. I can even guess the length of the arms based on perspective. The ass is acceptable. Eto! I'm drawing her right now. This being said, even with so little anatomy showing you've managed to make some mistakes. The face isn't flat and shows understanding of planes, that's a good thing. But you're still symbol drawing on the arms. Even if they are in the shadows, arms have planes and therefore tone variations too. There is variation on the face (which is in the shadows nonetheless), do the same thing with the arms. The wrist and the hand also have a very specific structure. Just look up the bones and study them, it'll be easier for you. Construct!

The light source confuses me, where is it coming from? What is it? Light is colored and will have different interactions with different local colors. You can't just make a color brighter and say "that's the light". When doing light, ask yourself, "Is it hard or soft? What color? What color are the surroundings? (this affects the color of the shadow; they're reflected)". Everything that this anon >>2226516 said is true.

my suggestion is to make things flying in the bg darker than the sky (not as dark as your current mecha thing) = ambient perspective

now you have to think about local values, for example, are pants darker than skin? play with layers and make them darker, still, brighter than mecha, do that for mecha too if you're thinking it's metal and some parts painted or with different materials

as you already have shadows you can jump to color or render
and you should make background darker than sky, while keeping that value for that mecha

1. use select tool
2. stay on the layer where you have the color shapes of the figure
3. select that shape (if shadow and light are separated, add both to the selection)
4 go to the line art layer
5. add a mask so you can erase without losing info (the square icon with a darker circle inside it at the bottom of the layers window or menu)
6 paint with black on that mask, you'll erase lines inside the body shape that are annoying, you can leave the ones that are not

I picked up these old vinyl posters from a shoe store in a mall and I am using them as a medium. I already painted one vinyl poster black and prepped it with a layer of masking tape to stencil later. This will be my first poster sized work and I am looking at alot of spraypaint artist videos making stars and planets with plates and shit while the canvas is still wet. I never tried it but I will in this poster.

I just picked up some spraypaint today after work and already looking at several references.

I don't know if this applies to the manga cover I posted but I've seen a lot of... photobashing? Which ends up looking more like a collage, really, but it creates a huge contrast of hyper-realism with a relatively simple drawing of the character like in pic related (Birds, camera, Ferris wheel and sky all seem to be pictures)

you should work on the structure and anatomy of the character before detailing the features.
also use real life as a reference even if you're drawing in an anime style

for now you should focus on realistic anatomy, even if they're just studies they will improve your stylized drawings a LOT

also the contrast on their faces are super low compared to ass an tiddies (m*rtles more than leeloo's), not that ass an tiddies shouldn't be highlighted for the type of work you're trying to create, but that also any detailed face that's in frame will be a point of interest whether you want it or not and you should make sure it works to the composition's advantage.
speaking of which, your composition's kinna ?? unless you're gonna be adding some kind of point of interest over on the left, like someone standing on the porch over there or something

the stippling's not great, esp on the horns. it's too sparse to create any real values, but also too uniform to look like grunge spots. I'd add more on the face/horns to create value in the darker areas of the face, like google stippling value scales for an idea of how concentrated your stippling should actually be, and vary it from light to medium dark. also i'd probably go ham and make concentrated, random areas on the clothing to look like dirt/wear&tear, still taking care so it just looks like texture and not values.

I don't know what it is but her pose has bothered me since you started... Her body looks a bit manly, and it's totally fine if that's what you were going for but it just doesn't seem right... her arm is really thick, her back is sticking out a lot and it looks like she's sucking in her gut.
I did an edit because I didn't know exactly what was bothering me, I hope it helps.
