I love drawing stupid ugly animu waifus for /a/ and I have been for almost a year. I'm never improving because I have a full time job while going to school, so when I have time to actually sit down and draw I have 2 options
1. spend an hour doing studies
2. spend an hour drawing what I like

and you know, idgaf I'm going to draw my ugly animu girls and I'm going to post it for the world to see because its fun, and maybe if people see me having fun drawing they'll try to have fun drawing.

The thing is you can always improve it in a few minutes, and many don't know how to do it and just don't care.
It's easy once you know color theory to correct backgrounds and such, but for a beginner it doesn't even have a semblance of sense on what colors to match so it looks like shit.
The same applies to anatomy, yeah since you know how to do it its easy but for someone who doesn't study or really care its not possible to just fix in a few minutes.
Of course this doesn't justify being bad, it's just a fact, and if they're okay with it then who are you to judge?

That said, the people who do it but think they're good are cringe worthy, I just don't think posting ugly art constitutes it because it is very possible they're doing it for the sole sake of enjoying art which is something we should all encourage.
