Pic unrelated, will dump more Ken M if you want to keep the thread bumped.

I've done a lot of realistic and shading heavy art with pencil, but because I suck at painting I'm going to use colored pencil more for color. Would there be a huge difference between a brand like Prismacolor and Crayola? (The only two options I have) because prismacolor is like 20 dollars for a pack pf 12, while with crayola I can get like 50 for under $10, but I dont want shitty quality art.

prismacolor is going to be noticeably different than crayola, crayola is basically made for children whereas prismacolor are pro-tier colored pencils

if you suck at colored pencils and don't want to spend the money, crayola could be good for practice but speaking from experience they fucking suck in comparison. With prismacolor you get easier blending and much higher saturation, they will also work with a variety of papers.
