I'm going to say something useful OP, pay attention:

1: Read Perspective Made Easy and do all the exercises.
2: Read How to Draw by Scott Robertson and do all the exercises and watch the videos.
3: Read Figure Drawing by Andrew Loomis and do all the exercises.
4: Read Drawing the Head and Hands by Loomis and do all the exercises.
5: Read Force by Michael Mattesi.
6: Read How to Render by Scott Robertson and do all the exercises.
7: Read Color and Light by James Gurney and do all the exercises.

There you go, with 4 hours of focused practice a day this training will last a whole year or a bit more. Also you need money to buy the books and a cintiq or intuos pro and ellipse templates etc.

After you complete that just do what you want for a while, explore styles, what you like to paint and such. THEN make a list of the things you are not good at an you want to learn and get to it.

I paint mostly with an intuos pro and sometimes I use watercolors for studies of plants in my garden etc, but perspective and drawing in general is faster with just a pencil, but I'm saving money to get a cintiq companion so I can draw and paint everywhere, it will make things easier.

Wow. That's some pretty cliche advice with stupid written all over it. Did you piecemeal the whole process by yourself or did you have help from your fellow id/ic/ts.

Locking yourself in the basement with books scattered all over different subjects doesn't make a decent learning endeavor. Drawing better doesn't happen because you made flashcard system out of the process.

How many anons before have posted a schedule to grind through? And how many of those anons stuck to it? Now of those anons, how many actually improved? And how many of those have all thier shit look as if copied out of a book (i.e. stiff, formulaic, unappealing, unoriginal)?

Your idea of using a laundry list books is stupid as you.

Just drawing from life isn't fast enough, it helps a lot sure but studying from books makes the learning process much much faster, because you learn how you're supposed to think when you're drawing/painting, something that would take extra 5 years to figure out on your own.

The two responses I've gotten from artists I like, when asked:

"Draw a lot, draw from life, draw things you like to draw.

[To get good at drawing you] have to:
-put in many hours of work
and
-constantly do things which, whatever level you are at, are still hard to do
…you don't have to be bored, though. So if the task is boring, find another difficult, time-consuming task to work on that feels like it is more what you enjoy."

- Zak Smith
and

"I can only recommend you to learn with an anatomy book of your choice(bammes, loomis, ect) and do lots of gesture drawing from life. Studying your favorite artists, comics, movies, animations a.s.o helps too"

-Saskia Gutekunst
