Do you ever feel like you're to disapointed to draw?

There is only one way to get better. Draw more, be honest with yourself and push as hard as you can. Then when you finally reach failure. Accept it and try again.

People who can accept failure don't dwell on the failure as long. That's why they get back to drawing more, and thus learn faster.

People who are slow learner are usually, either just not hard enough on themselfs, or to attached to the results they get, when really. Drawing is a process. You can't find answers while not drawing. You will eventually get it, if you just get back up and draw.

you have to sacrifice everything to become good (semi-)fast. your friends, partners, goals, dreams, self-respect, respect from your parents, respect from your peers, respect from anyone, money, health, mental health, the best years of your life, the expectation to ever become a respectable member of society, the expectation to every become ANY kind of member of society, etc.

as soon as you can check off atleast 75% of the above, you'll start improving at the rate generally considered 'good' by /ic/.

How do you practice?

I'm at 6 months so I'm hardly an authority, but I spent half of that going "i just want to draw and ill get good ;^)" and half of it actually being critical of myself, focusing on my flaws and actually trying to TRAIN myself rather than just draw for shits and giggles. The difference in the speed of progress is like night and day once you start narrowing your objectives into more manageable parts.
