I'll take a full pic when I get back home. It's a portrait of an ugly man. I just wanted to zoom in to see the paint better. Any ideas? It's not that important, I'm just curious and not very knowledgable of paint.

if you know what you are looking for in person it's not so tough but in a photo you can't tell. There are so many additives for acrylic to achieve a similar quality. It looks acrylic to me because of the texture, as the marks appear to have settled and shrunk as acrylic will do when drying.

smell it. If it smells oily, there you go.

it could also be a combination though, that isn't unusual.
