Just want to make clear I'm not hating. I like the guy as a guy, he seems very genuine etc. And he has great designs and I'm sure he is a fantastic concept artist, from an employer perspective.

But from an artist perspective he is a maximum hack. His recent fanart stuff is literally traced, and all of his work that isn't heavily photobashed or 3d sucks horribly. This is indisputable fact.

Have you honestly never seen a material that it's hard enough not to adhere to forms perfectly, and soft enough to fold? Hell just take your shirt off and drop it to the ground. By your reasoning, it should rest perfectly flat like if it had no structure at all, since there is nothing supporting it. And yet you can easily make it stand 5 cm tall, because it actually HAS a solid structure which supports it. It look "suspended in thin air". And that's an extremely soft t-shirt. Your trousers can probably stand even taller and they are possibly closer to the thickness of that hood.

Why can't you just admit that you were wrong? You did not understand how hoods work, now several people have explained it to you and posted real life examples. Isn't this a good thing? Now you have actually learnt something, so when you some day have to draw a character wearing a hood, you won't make the mistake and have the hood stuck to the skull.

I seriously don't understand why so many people who claim they are artists flat out refuse to learn anything new. They will fight to the death, trying to defend their argument, no matter how wrong it is, instead of being open minded and admitting when they were wrong.
