Want to learn how to do digital coloring/painting, but not sure where to start.

Would anyone know good baby steps to get into digital painting?

By the way, ctrl+paint is a great place to start. Go through the painting exercises (learning to make hard then soft edges), do value studies, material studies, landscapes (which all will go much like >>2075046) etc. Go for accuracy at first but start limiting yourself to 1-2 hours per painting, see what you can get done in that time while keeping to that process of sketch>block-in>render>detail.

Before you paint anything, though, make sure you know how to use your program. If you don't, this will slow down your learning and frustrate you a lot. You can look up tutorials that will teach you all the basics.
