thanks guys, I know it would have been better to put the legs behind or to change the view angle to show more, that's what happens when you don't plan all your figure from the beginning, I liked more the spread legs but changed a few poses while working and had to settle with a mid-solution at the end.

I really like it but I feel like we should not be able to see any of her bare head from that angle. I dunno. Like to me it seems her head is positioned closer to her stage left shoulder than her right and both her neck and face are sticking forward in a way that would look straight up cray-cray if seen from the front (I'm given this impression by the negative space between her arm and torso in particular). Very cute, would recommend giving her fuller lips, or at least make them stand out more by making them darker and more saturated. Also, thicker eyelashes are always qt, but optional.

I think you could make the ears wider, if you keep them too close to human shape, and just make them large, it can fall into the uncanny valley.

I get that you're following the ref for the legs, but in that style, i think it's less likely that she has puffy pants, and more likely just to have furry legs in that area, not 100% sure though, so it's up to interpretation. Give it a thought though.

Her eye seems a little low and too close to her nose. Those forms don't really make sense together. Arm on the right is flat, values on the skin behind it are lighter and more rendered, so it blends in to the body too much and is flattened. Hair should not be treated individually, but as patches of value like everything else. Neck doesn't connect to head or torso properly.

I don't have any progress shots, but I can tell you how I did it.
It's just cloth painted, then a pattern applied on top. I used warp and liquify to make it match the forms and played with layer settings. Think I ended up on soft light? Finally I used magic wand tool to select parts of the pattern and made it lighter or darker to give it a bit of a shine

I hope that made sense.
