I started browsing here years ago. I gave it my all
even when life was giving me shit, I didn't let go
I gave all. I ruined my social life, the ties with my family, and gambled on my future
but I'm not gonna make it. I lost the bet. now I'm old and my hands aren't holding anything but useless paper
I know there are others like me here.
I know you feel like shit, you want to die, you don't want to admit you'll never make your little dream real, and when it hurts you hide under procrastination. I know you're scared.
but its ok. I'm beat. done. defeated. but I don't have regrets
even if I ended in hell, I don't regret anything.
I tried to make a different future for myself, aiming at what I think its the best thing in the world.
you are trying too. so even if you fall, don't hate yourself. don't run away. keep going until your last breath, because even if your drawings are bad, you're making art. you're literally leaking it. art is love before everything, and your life is full of it.
I wish all of you to pass the goal line and grasp whatever you're aiming to. and if you fail, to have the kindness of not putting apart your art.

If you legitimately enjoyed this craft, and at least had a sense of satisfaction for solving problems and drafting figures then you did not lose anything nor have you been "defeated" the only thing making you feel like defeat is yourself there is absolutely nothing in this craft that can defeat you other than yourself.

For you, maybe but for someone who has never had any form of instruction on drawing or has never picked up a book this place is an absolute goldmine for me. Never had we in the past had so much information at our disposal it's thrilling for me.
