How will /ic/ teach their children the ways of Loomis?

How early can a well-taught children not suck at drawing? There are 4 year old boys playing the piano, but developing the sense of depth is probably harder to rush.

but I would teach them the importance of of draftsman ship and that all art is for faggot hippies and how images are tools use to manipulate the consumer.

My aunt thaught me how to use a pencil at the first moment I could hold one. And I got lessons at 6 years old. If you can please do teach your children fundamentals, 4 isn't too young, and please ( if you are doing this) let them be creative and don't let them only do fundamentals. They need more free time. But do make them to keep improving and become genius

Yeah I intend both teaching fundamentals and creation. I just think the greatest pro is teaching how not to use symbols even before the kid learns how to symbolize.

Are you very skilled? Do you have a natural fluency in it because of how early you got into drawing?

Sure I might experiment with my friend's little 11 year old sister. With some starter books like Natural Way to Draw, Vilppu Drawing Manual or Loomis Creative Illustration.

Witch one because I might get one for her birthday soon.

Too late, she's already into stickfigures.

The eye doesn't fully develope until age 10, maybe later in some children. I'm sure the neuropathways from the eye to the brain take even longer to solidfy. The ear develops a lot quicker than that, which I believe is why there are more musical prodigies, and pretty much nonexistent child art prodigies. I think it would be best to wait until age 8-10 to even introduce serious academic fundamentals and just let them develop a joy for drawing and creating frequently instead.

Could someone share any good videos they've found which show a good artist sketching and possibly talking about their process?

Or even a video which talks about the drawing technique of other famous artists?

And then, at the wise age of 15, these kids give up.

I'll teach them if they want but its really no skin off my nose if my son doesn't wanna do it as a profession, the little fucker can do whatever he wants.

In all seriousness though, I'd probably be a deadbeat dad.
