I often draw directly with pigment ink (if i draw traditionally) or hard round brush with opacity and flow set to 100% (if i draw digitally).

Here is one i did today. Whoever do same exercise, you are most welcome to post your result here.

ohh i forgot to add.. if you really want to work on observation and patience, do it on one layer and don't use eraser. So don't make a construction drawing on one layer, setting opacity down, and then re-draw it on other layer.
Keep construction lines in same drawing :)
