It was trial and error. If you find a book let me know! Some anon pointed me to some Todd Nauck YouTube videos, but that was more for inspiration.

I think for this, I choose a slightly different hue instead of just a darker marker. Also, timing is incredibly important. If you add a new color while the base layer is wet you can blend, and if you wait till it dries you get a sharper edge. There is probably a better way, I'm always testing things out.

There are other anons around that use markers and can give better advice, but I rarely see anything posted - I'm probably not lurking hard enough

This is the one. There's a smaller version in italian as well but I haven't found anything for english. Still! Even without understanding what is written you can get an idea of what they are doing since they block it up by chapters. Each chapter is something different specifically like hair or whatever. Good shit I would recommend it.

Imagine you have a hot glue gun as a printer head. It basically extrudes liquid plastic that sticks to itself, and there are motors that programmatically control where the material is deposited. Everything is built from the bottom up in very thin layers. For over hanging structures ( like a tree branch) thinner supports are automagically added by the printer software.
