There's things wrong with almost everything in there.

There's no clear light sources, cloth material reflecting into a rimlight, values that aren't affected by the depth in the image, not proper use of perspective, bad anatomy that looks like bad photorefs.

Not to mention the disturbing motive and or the tacky effect to copy the green character straight off our view and paste it in her painting, despite sitting in a different view.

If you need an asspat I could write some things good too.

It's been a while since I've actually drawn or painted anything, it's probably safe to say that my momentum is pretty much dead and it has been that way for a really long time.

Though recently I have taken a liking to just doodling. Not thinking about anatomy, not thinking about anything. Just doing.

2-3 minutes of dicking around is more than enough for me to figure out how much of an edgy homosexual I am.

>Thanks, I wanted lightsources to be these things on the ceiling and something from viewer's point of view.
Fair enough but now you have,
>directional light hitting greentits from our left
>reversed light source on her thigh and leg
>the weird bouncelight
>a warm light coming from bottom left
>a random light hitting the painter from the right
Stick with one diffuse volume above the monster and a cold one from our left.

Painter's back looks good. Skin feels very warm.

Here is a tip: toss all custom brushes, get the default hard round, set opacity to 100 and only change flow for gradients(flow - how much pigments the brush leaves on the canvas). It gets rid of those insecure strokes.

Like photobashing, theres nothing *wrong* with using fancy ones, but it's really only there for when you can create something *more* convincing with regular brushes but you don't have the time.

the nose looks like it is in profile, but the head is 3/4 view. fix the perspective and don't have such a harsh black line on the nose, the cleavage and the under eye bags.

The shoulders look kind of whack, though. Look at some torsos and fix that up. I know you haven't spent as much time painting that area yet but it's good to fix it now rather than later. Colour choice is appealing.

The original photo features a tall forehead, a very squared off chin, and fuller neck. I think next time you do a caricature, take the time to identify these major facial structures and be sure to emphasize them to help you capture the essence of the individual.

It's all about shaping them. Angled up and away from the outer corners from the eye, peak of the arch that align with the outer corners of the eyes, keep the unibrow clear and clean, clear out any little strays outside of the deified shape.

If you want, get it professionally done, take a few good photos, and use them as reference for when you groom them at home. You can also get them plucked thinner if you still don't like them but that's a lot more maintenance if you're up for it.

because you have very bad drawing skills, but above beginner level rendering

You need to learn to draw

you need to learn to render

you need to learn to polish

Likewise, you cannot polish if you don't know how to render.
Likewise you cannot render if you first don't have a non-turd like decent looking drawing first.

Work on your drawing, observational drawing, life drawing, anatomy gestures and learn loomis/vilpuu. Also read the 'Antomy for sculptors' book, you can find a torrent for the pdf somewhere or go to the previous book thread.

Not trying to insult you anything, just stating what you are doing right now, which is turd polishing, the initial drawing is extremely flawed and bad. Work on your drawing skills, then go back to rendering.
