Hey guys, I have a question for you.

I'm gonna paint an SNES-style sprite/pixel painting, and I need to draw a grid on the canvas that's exactly 20 squares across and 36 squares down.

How do I go about achieving the exact number of squares?

pic sort of related.

You measure the canvas and divide the dimensions by the number of "pixels" required, and that gives you the size the squares need to be. This is basic math...

I was always pretty bad at math...

It's easy to divide a canvas into any amount of squares.

I don't believe somebody is asking how to divide an area into x number of spaces...

Did you drop out of school in grade 4?

At this point it's not even math anymore because calculators exist. It's common sense you lack.

What a waste of time when you could just use a ruler to mark out spacings
