Throw it away and start over. This time spend the recommended 8 hours on your Bargue so you actually learn something.

Protip: A kneaded eraser will make or break your drawing. Learn how to use it, and use it a lot.

Listen, eight hours seems like a lot of work for one drawing, and it is. And for that arm in particular, I wouldn't spend nearly that long. But choose a harder Bargue plate and really, really study it and focus on it. Then copy it as best you can. Pay attention to the vertical and horizontal points that line up. Pay attention to the angles and measurements. This is called learning to see, and nearly every great artist in history learned this way of copying as a foundation. When you learn to "see", constructing proportionate 3D forms becomes ten times easier. 90% of anons skip this crucial step, and as a result, 100% of their work is mediocre garbage. Do yourself a favor and build the foundation before you build the house. These people are like musicians who don't study scales or theory and complain when they can't play two notes of a song correctly. They don't know the language of music, like artists without this foundation don't know the language of visual art.

What's the focal point? Right now, there is nothing interesting going on in this image. There is no sense of scale, no interesting shape variety, no design whatsoever, no interesting value statement, nothing.

You really need to think about designing a good composition and intersting shapes if you want the "rocky wasteland" landscape to work, because without that, it is inherently boring.

You've got no uniformity on lighting all around

>Nose tip is lit from front, nose middle dark from sides somewhat lighter in the middle, doesn't fit rest of the lighting.

Try doing some grayscale paintings or even draw a simplified face with a reduced number of planes so that you can clearly place the values where they are needed. I was taught in charcoal with shapes in strong lighting, and that worked rather well for me at least.

So my recommendation is to start with some simple shapes like boxes and shit, and them move up to spheres, and then irregular things. A face is nothing more than a large amount of intermingled shapes, the better you can render the simple stuff the better you'll take to the complex stuff.

You need to learn how to measure and place your landmarks accurately. If you don't have this basal skill under your belt, you'll struggle with literally everything you draw.

Hair still looks bad and too stringy, especially the hair further in the background. Remember, you're paitning locks of hair like ribbons, not individual strings.

Proportions need work. She looks too thin, body is too long, hands are too big. I recall you used a reference, but I don't remember it exactly. Remember that that is a magazine model, and she's likely been stretched and thinned in photoshop. In addition to rampant airbrushing that hides imperfections and overly softens plane changes, magazine photos typically make terrible references for painting. If you're skeptical of this assertion, try constructing the skeleton on it's own layer on top of everything. You'll find that it grossly differs from what's normal.

A very common means of teaching people how to paint is to take their painting once it reaches near completion, and run a brush loaded with white across it. And I know few painters who have never sanded down a dud to reuse a canvas.

The point I'm trying to make, is your oath is retarded.

I could care less about it once it's finished, but if I start a drawing, I will finish it (sans coloring, proper shading) because I feel it helps me when I work through the mental blocks. It's also satifying completing a drawing when it takes a long time and effort. I'm still just a beginner after all.

It's the truth you fucking noob. Colors can't exist without relation to each other. A cool accent of color on a reddish, yellowish mountain would not be blue but a desaturated grey version of the local color, SLIGHTLY shifted towards the spectrum of the sky color. If you don't believe me, just open that reference image, go over those areas with the color picker and see for yourself. They will be a green or yellowish grey, never even coming close to blue.

This is color theory 101 and the very basics of achieving a harmonized color scheme. Learn your fucking fundamentals before you try to correct others on things you have absolutely no clue about. Also, grey is used all the fucking time to enhance the richness of the colors next to it. Masters have used this since forever but I guess you have never heard of the term "grey is the mother of all colors".

Everything is the same colour. try adding some variation into it. Especially faraway mountains would be much lighter and bluer. Even deserts are not completely empty. Add some plants, rocks, people, houses, something.
Shadows are not just darker tones of light colours, go analyze some professional landscape work.

Here's an adjustment with a lot of lassoing and brightness filters. I wasn't exactly sure what your lighting scheme or forms were so I took some liberties. There are many mistakes but I hope the idea is conveyed properly. Push those values and understand how all light sources come together to properly give the illusion of form.

You seem to know your stuff. Here's some pretty minor (probably nitpick) things I've noted. The 'V' on the breastplate doesn't match perspective. The facial mark across the nose looks dented into the face and should follow the form of the nose bridge more. The volume of the torso and lower is slightly unclear behind all the gear. Some of the pants seem fused with the hips, though skintight I guess. That aside, the image reads well overall. Good job.

Sketch of Bjork. Any advice welcome.

>> No.1786590

>>1784711
Like somebody else said by lowering the opacity.
You can also do it by lowering the flow. Or by messing around with both.

Also make sure you're not just color picking the colors off the noses to the right.
Try to look at the colors and get them yourself through the color wheel/box.
In fact once you sort of get the jist of what the guy is doing with his rendering just do it yourself with real noses. And of course move on to the rest of the face, and so on.
Just copying without excreting any brain effort won't get you anywhere.
You have to really think about what you're doing and why you're doing it the way you are.
Have to consider things like what direction the light is coming from, how the form is going to be affected by this light and rendering it to show that form. And you really have to internalize all of this learned knowledge to eventually be able to do it without reference and from your imagination.
It obviously goes without saying that your fundamentals have to be strong too.
It's a really long road to get good at this, like any craft. So I wish you luck.
