Louis Wain's story always kind of bums me out...

all the pictures are good in the sense that they are filled with emotion and felt ideas. they fail on an execution level and the fact that there's little to no cohesion or structure. more people should look at this and realize that they have potential to create art if they only let go of whatever it is that is holding them back

well, the gestures are lively and, except for the cone of the phonograph, i like the line work.

it's also brilliant just because of the subject - a woman shitting while dancing and a guy pointing his fingers in a "heyyyy daddio" fashion - that's fucking hilarious. a lot of the other pieces, to me at least, are coming from a very dark place. this one, however, shows that the artist has a sense of humor.
