it's hipster trend and pretty common in outsider art atm. or people trying to make a quick buck and feel like an artist.

a guy i know sells similar work similar contex not subject that is. for thousands of dollars for large painting and hundreds for shitty prints.

all he does is find images blow them up paste them together than paint on top.

i am currently going through hampton and i enjoy it noticably more. probably because hampton actually looks at the head from a geometric perspective.

loomis is all like "this is the circle, and next you draw the whole fucking owl" while hampton actually goes into important parts like the keystone and the face's features.
