I got Alchemy because Android Jones used it in a video. Opened it last time on thursday 20th of December.
I got Hexels because I saw someone else use it.
Last opened March 2013.
Sketchbook Pro, April 2012.
Illustrator, March 2013.

You guys got Junkware you don't use and just keep around because of ONE DAY.. ?

I'm in the same boat with Al.chemy and Hexels. Along with that I also have a color grabber program, a few versions of OpenCanvas, a drawing program called Pinkcherry, and illustrator that I downloaded for a single project.

well i don't use Carapace as much as I thought. Maybe I lack the experience, but I think I'd rather rely on my own grids, depending on the situation.

Oh shit, that looks like one of these "wow, that's fucking useful!!!!!" sort of programs.. I can feel it tugging at me and my idiocy.

To other idiots like me, here's the link

it might be useful, some strong artists have found utility with it, i might be missing the point, or not using it to it's potential. If anything I can only say it helps you learn perspective? Or shows you exactly what's happening in a good picture. You can also make your own grids with it. If I'm wrong, I'm ok with that, I'm here to learn as much as anyone, so please correct me.

just like with brushes, less is more imo.

keep the software you rely on to a minimum.

personally i only use PS, google sketchup, zbrush and ... yeah, carapace. carapace is great, you'll learn to love it when shit gets real.

but 99% of /ic/ only do characters so ofcourse they will have little use for carapace.
