Hey, /ic/, I have to write a report on Al Held's Untitled, but I have no idea how to even go about forming an interpretation. Care to help?

you are looking at a hole in a semi-downwards facing wall in a room about 200m high up with foggy weather outside and a forest below. Over the hole hangs a picture that, conversely, looks like the view out of a window into a clear sky. To the left there is a stream of water flowing down in front of a curtain that is made to look like water. The room is cluttered with interesting looking emoty boxes.
> it symbolises shitty pseudo-artists who cannot draw and try to make their poopy shapes look like they have a deeper meaning

i love this notion that abstract artists "can't draw". you people crack me up.

I read it as a commentary on our modern hierarchy. Man is the real animal.
