It's not about photorealism

“The essence of realism is its negation of the ideal… The expression of beauty is in direct ratio to the power of conception the artist has acquired.”

Realism is really best understood as a sort of post-romanticism. It's about trying to capture subject matter in a raw way to convey a powerful feeling, and it's as much about creating a realistic psychology for the subjects as it is about sticking to realistic depictions.

Great job, Mister Rubberburner, you managed to realize that the people around you trust you not to lie to them and you abuse this trust and mistake that for some kind of innate psychological skill.

This might be why I don't appreciate photorealism at all. Faking it is just the conclusion of doing photorealistic images.

This is a very easy trick, you just trace the photographs, put it on a layer with a mask and just simulate to draw it using a unmask brush to bring the drawing back after recording the video, this person pratically makes it the whole movie using the screencap taken from de mv.
