disregard all the other fags that replied. the real reason he's hated is because he was accused of tracing last year, and people got pissed because they thought he must trace everything and is only making money through plagiarism. It got even worse when it was found that he accused someone else of plagiarism/tracing and looked like a massive hypocrite. This is why he changed his name from kr0npr1nz to Kuvshinov-Ilya in order to get away from the tainted reputation.

to be perfectly clear, he's not a tracer. he simply did master studies of several official animu art, stylized photo studies, and some screenshot re-draws of anime stills, and uploaded them to his DA without credit. though when you look at it, most of his works were heavily referenced, so from an artist point of view he's still cheap shit.
