Professionals trace 3D sources all the time (made themselves or otherwise) it's just that if they're worth their salt, they tweak and stylize it so it doesn't look flat out stiff and traced.

Anyway, it wasn't my intention compare it to anything. I was simply referring to the constant moral debate I see on whether or not it's "bad/cheating/crutch" to use 3D as a reference and trace over it.

(Btw I'm going to assume you thought I was ignorant to OP talking about a physical doll as a ref? Nah, I'm with the guys suggesting 3D programs, way more flexible for someone looking for a particular pose or unusual angle and is time constrained.)

Discovered there are more non-whites around here than I thought.
