embrace that you're going to look like an idiot. Do something silly, but whatever you do, make an effort. And then just appreciate the crash and burn if looks dumb.

I went on a date that was one of those bar painting things and ended up fucking concentrating on the painting so much that the date went nowhere. And even though I tried to do a funny goof with King Kong peeing in the background, I kind of didn't really talk about it while it was happening, and then it looked bad, so when the art lady looked at it and asked what happened I kind of just mumbled and ended up painting over it later.

Don't do that. Your focus should be like 70% on the interaction and having fun and 40% making an effort, and -10% giving a shit.

idk someone that's made like 315+ acrylic paintings, and have been painting as a matter of full time employment most of the last 2 years.

Like who is anyone to "give critique?" Who ITT has experience with acrylic? Why do you trust random kids that post anonymously but get triggered by people that actually do work?

And I enjoy the goof that I gave actual critique and suggestions for what to do going forward and virgins like (you) will just ignore it and attack the speaker for having the audacity to post their work.

I did pic related over an hour at a Mexican restaurant on a date. Originally tried to paint King Kong peeing the distance but covered it when it looked dum. This is a better attempt at sunset type of sky than OPs. Even if it is shitty and schmeary it is still demonstrating more of attempt to make an appealing sky. I'm the only person here that's likely ever even attempted to paint a sky with acrylic paint. I probably know more about it than some anonymous ngmi (you)s. Proof me wrong.
