When Vilppu and Bridgman do these illustrations with shorthand hatches/tone how intentional are they? I read >>6589915 and I'm trying to copy the scratches less and try to understand more but I'm confused, where's the light source even coming from in this one? The shading on the muscle mass above the thumb tells me in front but It's also everywhere.
