Yeah it's annoying when people talk about "realistic humans" before anime, "realistic humans" is a very deep rabbit hole and it's easy to misinterpret and become lost. People should just get an anatomy book (i like the one by Zarins) and fill up a folder with reference pics by their fav artists and get drawing while looking at the refs imo. And quickpose websites are great.

I drew this as demonstration, even though it's just typical anime eye symbols + anime hair bangs slapped on wonky (but adequate) primitives, it kind of checks out as anime illustration. And the heads are still just hamfisted applications of chapter 1 of Hitokaku (顔・頭編). I can't draw a realistic human to save my life either
