There's no right way to study those books. The only thing I can tell you is: The more effort you put into them, the more you'll get out of them. If you create your own original pieces incorporating the concepts from the book, you'll definitely improve a lot more than if you didn't. Draw a lot from photo references, draw a lot from the book, draw a lot from imagination, and draw a lot from other books. The only thing that matters is your concentration and effort.

Build lean muscle on your arms with light weights over time so that your muscles and tendons don't strain themselves as much when drawing.. maybe, im not a pro.
