I just want to draw and improve but every time I open my sketchbook I lose all confidence, I start sketching random shit without sense with a pdf of a Loomis book in front of me and I feel like there's no redeeming qualities about and I'm never gonna get better, so crawling in my bed is probably what I'll done for the rest of my life
All do from imagination now is just Loomis heads of anime characters bland as background NPCs and stiff bodies built like legos with unnatural poses tought of at the moment when just one year ago I uselt to draw more military and medieval stuff
Any tips to get out of this hell? Not drawing in general, the way I just feel uncomfortable to do it.

Why do people use a textured pen, specifically on SAI, to draw something when the end result looks like normal lines?
I feel like it'd be helpful for me to use that as well but zooming in on my WIP looks unclean on a pixel level.

There's all these threads about how good anime is and how the anons want to draw that yet nothing from our innate dialect. Post cartoony art you like.
