Strong emphasis of the character of mechanical objects with realistic detailing, especially weapons and vehicles - is usually a good giveaway of male artists. I dont mean just having used a reference - but really getting into what gives life to the object.

I used to think "childish" or chibi-esque characters, and cutsy bubbly styling was the exclusive domain of female artists. But Im not so sure anymore.
