Hey guys, my characters are usually flat--well, actually the forms themselves tend to look 3d because I'm good at at least molding the line to give the illusion of depth and rhythm. However, I basically only draw them from one specific composition/angle. For example pic related is something far beyond me though I could probably draw the characters well from a flat angle. I think there's far better examples out there but this was the only close one in my folder.

...I know "life drawing." What I wanna know if any textbook artist or specific tactic emphasizes interesting compositions, perspective, and not defaulting to basic angles.
