I used to think artists were just humblebragging when they were posting something as a quick sketch that I couldn't even do if I had spent a week on it.
I eventually got better, and I can now bang out something like pic related in 30-45 min, and I'd 100% call it a sketch.

That's because a fully rendered piece can take me 6+ hours, this isn't a very refined composition, the brush work is messy, the colors and lighting could use tweaking, and there's a major lack of details once you zoom in enough.

It's not to hear "omg can't believe this is quick for you", it's to let people/potential clients know that it's an intentionally rough piece done for fun/practice.
