So you ARE saying that you think a lot of artists spend a lot of time doing Norman Rockwell studies? Like what are you saying? This thread is a thread that was created for people to practice drawing. It's all about "studying and honing." Which is why it's confusing that you're so obsessed with making about "attacking Jimmy." Why can't you just draw something instead of all of this? No it's because it's clearly an edgy, hormonal kid with a bone to pick and the same kind of self-important kid ideas that you generally have to lose with age and experience. I improve and experiment and learn new things constantly. I don't pretend to do anything. I just attempt to challenge myself and do new things on everything. A lot of it falls apart. I'm ok with that. Lean into it even. It's a constant quest for a novel experience.

Yeah that one is sloppy with fucking matte gel and gesso mixed into the paint. Got some palette knives a while ago I just haven't gotten into using them yet. Instead I just don't clean the brushes and let them get all hard.
