Being a cloutchasing like whore isn't how you pay the bills in art. If income is what you want be a graphic designer, illustrator, concept artist... It can take years or a lot of luck to garner an audience from 0, not to mention you have to be real good.
Even once you got eyes on your work, getting commissions or patrons is another thing, not to mention it's 100% unprotected work and you are likely gonna get some asshole clients on the regular.
