Ok, how do I indicate chainmail with pen and ink without making it look too busy.
I've been trying so hard to figure it out. Study after study, I just can't get it the way that looks good and non distracting.

Any artists come to mind that I could look at for some master studies? I'm trying to avoid the generic cross hatch look. But I can't seem to make anything other than a scribbly mess of shit.
